Portugal's 2020-2030 Economic Recovery Plan defends the commitment to strengthening the Economy, which ensures a type of innovative industry, generating highly qualified employment and exporting, in Portugal; promoting the country's competitiveness, internationalization and technological development.
The priorities of the Portugal 2030 Program are based on 8 main points, each with its own strategic objectives:
HORIZONTAL OBJECTIVES:Objective: To ensure the conditions for business competitiveness and the development of the national scientific and technological base for a strategy based on innovation.
Objective: Ensure the availability of human resources with the necessary qualifications for the process of national economic and social development and transformation, ensuring the sustainability of employment.
Objective: Stop population aging and ensure demographic sustainability, while ensuring the provision of adequate goods and services to an aging population.
Objective: To ensure the conditions for reducing energy dependence and for adapting territories to climate change, in particular ensuring the management of associated risks.

Objective: Ensure the external competitiveness of cities and urban regions, Atlantic territories and inland territories.
Objective: To strengthen the competitiveness of low-density territories around medium-sized cities, enhancing the sustainable exploitation of endogenous resources and rural development, diversifying the economic base to promote their convergence and guaranteeing the provision of public services.
Objective: To promote competitive agricultural development with the enhancement of irrigation, together with a reinforced strategic commitment to forest reform.
